No Air Puff, No Dilation
Not Required
You should never compromise when it comes to eye care. Greenville Vision has the latest technology and equipment to ensure the best vision and eye health possible, without the discomfort of older fashioned equipment. The newest equipment measures eye pressure without the startling puff, and the newest imaging system can allow the doctor to examine your entire retina without dilation. On rare occasions, a patient may need additional testing if the image shows risk of specific diseases. This technology is included in the routine exam fee for self-pay patients, and at a small additional charge for patients using insurances.

Custom Treatments Just for You!
Many of our patients need tailor-made custom treatments, and we are more than happy to provide that! Whether you are simply tired of having to find those pesky reading glasses you leave lying around, or you want to discover other options besides glasses, we can help find a plan that works for you!
We offer custom contact lens fittings as well for those that are unable to wear traditional soft lenses!
What if I want or need dilation?
We use the latest technology in eye care to take an image of the entire retina. In many ways, acquiring and saving this image has advantages over routine dilation, because it is much more comfortable for the patient, and can be reviewed and carefully scrutinized for tiny defects, without the patient enduring extreme bright lights while zooming in. There are, however, cases where dilation can be more thorough. These might be if your photos are obscured by cataracts, eyelashes, extremely tiny pupils, inability to open the eyes completely, or position your head for the photo.

Don't worry, if you need dilation, it doesn't cost more, and we're glad to provide the service! Just let your technician know!
Our Optomap images are done for every examination whether you are dilated or not. We include it in the price of a self-pay routine examination. Some vision plans pay for the imaging, and some don't, so if you're using a vision insurance, please plan on an extra $39 added to your copay for this important test.
